So I've had a few persons questioning how I'm going about my "Lore Cards" that I've been posting as the main art as of late. I will attempt to answer some of these questions and if more happen to make an appearance that aren't already covered I shall be sure to add them.
What is the Lore Card Project?
The Lore Card Project is simply a project I'm spending my spare time on to help revamp my artistic skills. This ranges simply in drawing and colored pencils. I've recently been scanning and posting the inked versions in case some fine day in the future I decide to mess around with digital coloring. This was an idea I had simply from goofing around with friends I play with in World of Warcraft. I happen to buy quite a few decks of the Trading Card Game for "WoW" and as a joke was teased frequently for my "Lore Cards" because I would end up with some Loot Card item in the game. Thus the name of the project was born, I decided a while ago I wanted to get back into art, and with a few fine friends pushing me along in the idea the Project was in motion.
What is a Lore Card?
A Lore Card is a "card" I draw of a person's actual character. I have modeled the frame of the card in a mimicking form of the WoW Trading Card Game, making a few simple modifications here and there. For this reason, at this point and time I will not sell these cards to anyone even if it is a card of your character. At this point and time I do not feel like messing with any entanglements I may get from Upper Deck, or Blizzard. They are for now a hobby.
Who can get a Lore Card?
At this time, I have a decently lengthy list of friends still in line. After I've made sure to get my friends and the like, I may open it up to more interested. Again I will state, these are not commissioned with payment. This means, they are done on my time, with my resources, without payment or a given time frame. I try to be quick in getting these done, in the same I like taking the time to involve myself and work at my skills.
Can my Lore Card be of something non-WoW related?
No, by any means. A Lore Card is designed around and for World of Warcraft. I have no means of getting into any other subscription based game to view or get a detailed description of your character, thus, no. In WoW I have ways of getting around, and I prefer it that way. Aside from this, I am willing to still take commissions of your character with descriptions, but it won't be in a Lore Card status, and won't have abilities and such listed as are done on the Lore Cards.
Are Lore Cards professionally done?
No. I am not a professional artist, I do not have a degree, and I do not by any means claim to be the best. There will be mistakes here and there, I apologize and move on. I do my best to make sure lines are straight, anatomy is correct, but sometimes don't catch everything until the ink is dry. I don't view this as a bad thing, as it is designed to keep me working at my art, and further, each piece has a bit of "uniqueness" in that.
Is colored pencil the only media you use?
Traditional Media is my comfort zone. It's the only thing I've used since the birth of my artist interests, and if you truly want my best, that's the best place to leave it. I have no Digital Coloring programs and haven't messed with any so a product outside of Traditional Media could end disastrous. I'm sorry if you like digital pics, I love them too, but I'm not good at them
Can my Lore Card have nudity in it?
No. I generally do not draw nude pictures, and if and when I do they are usually privately kept in my art notebook for me and me only.
So you said you'd draw a Lore Card, how long will it take?
It can take me a couple of weeks to a month from start to finish. Total time usually is anywhere between 20 to 30 hours from sketching to coloring. I do have a small bit of a life, and I do have a guild I mess around with in game. This does cut into my time, hence why for now this is not a paid commission project. At the sake of being redundant, these are done on my time and mostly for mine and your enjoyment. I realize you want it fast, I want it as close to the perfect line I can reach with my skills, so I take my time and wait instead of rushing it. Rushing it can equal mistakes, and I draw a background that is lots of space to mess up in if you follow. I lament the first three cards having simple mistakes that I could have caught had I not rushed myself. The first two were gifts for Christmas, so I had a time table, Aislin's: [link] turned out rather well for my first card ever. Telarin, on the other hand, looks more afraid than the fearless Paladin [link] And Cain, well, he became the Death Knigt. I want to refrain from making minor mistakes like that, so I take my time and do it right
How do you decide what goes on a Lore Card?
Originally it was decided it would be T6 gear as the main backdrop. As time has passed, I'm being more open to whatever you would prefer in terms of gear, environment, ability etc. Most abilities are something I come up with as a tease, same thing with the character quotes, but some I let you choose. It just depends really. I will have a list of basic questions at the end of this FAQ to think over if you so happen to wish to have a Lore Card drawn.
What if I don't like the pose, or background?
Everything in terms of ability, pose, background, quote, gear and number (if not reserved) is your idea. As long as it doesn't go against any of my previously mentioned discussions in this post, and is doable, I'll do my best to match your description. I use Model Viewer at times to help with a pose, sometimes it wont be exactly what you are going for. I sketch out what I've been able from what the answers to the questions are and send it via email to you and if you want adjustments I do my best. I'll send it again, and we go from there. I won't do this too many times, as this again is done for free, so please keep this in mind.
Descriminations:
I don't mind doing Alliance or Horde submissions, but keep in mind generally I'm a Hordie. If you would like an Alliance Lore Card, times set up to discuss these things will be required. I do have ways of getting Alliance side, so feel free to note me here if you happen to be one of the filthy Allia...I mean...blue banner wearers.
Should the occasion rise, I do have the right to deny drawing anyone a Lore Card. The general rule is if you act like a jerk to me, or are someone I generally cannot get along with (Which is rare, Im fairly easy to get along with), don't expect me to draw something for you. I will not spend my time drawing something for you being a jerk when it is for free.

:::LORE CARD QUESTIONAIRE:::
These are some basic questions, there could be more or less in regards to specializing your lore card.
What spec would you prefer listed on your Lore Card?
What character quote would you prefer? (RP wise or something of an inside joke)
What ability (related with your class) would you want listed?
What background would you prefer? (What is your favorite place in WoW etc)
What kind of pose would you want your character in?
If you are a class with a pet would you want your pet in the pic with you?
Do you have a preference on what Lore Card you have?( 40 is the limit in the series thus far. Keeping in mind there are some used/reserved.)
Do you want a first and last name listed on the card? (Long names will be hard to achieve this as forewarning)
What gear do you want your "toon" in? (I can meet up and take screenshots if necessary).
